Camera Obedience School

Meets twice, 1.5-hours each meeting

Learn how your camera works, get practical tips for improving your photos and find out about all the cool new ways to share photos with others. We happily work with all kinds of digital cameras, from point-and-shoots to digital SLRs. This class is for people who take a visual, more than technical, approach to their photography. So if your digital camera is behaving badly, bring it to Pixel Time for training! We keep the jargon to a minimum, and the practical tips to a maximum.

Photo Art Projects
Instructor: Stacey Scholfield
Each project session meets twice, 1.5-hours each meeting

Every session of Photo Art Projects focuses on a new technique and a fresh fun project. You'll learn more about how image editing software works, and try out techniques on a fun project you can complete in class. Each project results in a digital file ready for you to print and frame.

Photo Art 1: Filter fun & fantasy, using layers of awesomeness, and delectable selectables
Photo Art 2: Compositing fantasy images, using blend modes, and color swaps
Photo Art 3: Scans, words and pictures combined

NOTE: The class is taught using Photoshop Elements 10. The concepts in the lessons apply to Photoshop and Photoshop Elements as well as most image editing software.


 

Pixel Time logo Note: This workshop is for ages 16 – adult. Please read Pixel Time Policies before you sign up. Pixel Time classes are limited to 6 students. To benefit from this class, you should have some computer experience, ie, already know how to use the Internet, how to use a mouse, and how to send eMail.
